Warden Message ( 03/03/2008 )
A demonstration will take place at approximately 10:00 am March 3, 2008 at Yousef al Azme Circle in Damascus (approximately one block east of the Cham Palace Hotel). The subject will be the situation in the Gaza Strip. We anticipate at least a few thousand participants. At this time we have no indication that the demonstrators will proceed to another location after listening to speeches at Azme Circle, but that potential exists.
Even demonstrations that have been carefully organized and designed to be peaceful are inherently unpredictable. American citizens are advised to be attentive to their surroundings, avoid demonstrations and large gatherings of people.
